We’ll share a list of topics we intend to cover during the interview. However, we don’t typically share the full list of questions, so we can capture your authentic reactions.

Pick something that you feel comfortable in. You’ll be on video mainly from the waist up. Please try to avoid black, white, and busy patterns when selecting your clothing, since these don’t always look the best on video.

Typically, we capture interviews in your home. Other locations are possible. Before the interview, we can discuss what is best for you and your story. Of course, we can also do an online video recording if you prefer.

It’s normal to feel a bit nervous at first, especially when you’re excited to share your stories. Our team has interviewed hundreds of people over the years, so we know how to make it a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable experience.

This is all about you speaking from the heart. It’s your story, so tell it the way you want it told. There won’t be any hard questions, and you won’t have to talk about anything that you don’t feel comfortable with.

Yes! Video biographies make a wonderful gift. We often have siblings and other family members pitch in together as a gift for their parents or grandparents.

Yes. This video is for you and your family members. We will never share the video without your permission.

Think about what you want your family to see 10 years from now—an amateur iPhone video, or a professional video crafted and edited by expert storytellers. Our experience allows us to get the best performance possible from interviewees and draw out meaningful stories and words of wisdom. Your stories will all be captured with professional equipment and edited together for a polished final product.

Typically, you’ll get your final video 3-6 weeks after the interview day. However, we’ll happily accommodate a specific deadline for a special occasion or event.

Yes — but we’ve found that the interviewee tends to be more comfortable speaking freely without family members in the room, which is why we prefer to conduct the interview with only the interviewee in the room. However, we will respect your wishes if you’re more comfortable with someone present.

Don’t worry! The interviewee doesn’t have to say anything they aren’t comfortable sharing. They will also have an opportunity to preview the video before final delivery, so if there is something you would like omitted, that can easily be addressed and removed.

We can travel to the interviewee, or we can record interviews online, using our special software to capture high-quality video. Ask us about pricing for either of these options.
